SOLD OUT Baby & Child First Aid course at The Dove Cafe, Holtspur (Fundraiser for Turkey- Syria Earthquake Appeal)

This 2-hour session aims to give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide emergency first aid to your baby or child. You will learn how to perform life-saving interventions to make sure you are prepared for even the scariest of situations.

Who are you?

You might be expecting, already have had your bub, or even have older children! You might be a grandparent or an aunty who is looking after little ones. This session covers newborns to 18 year olds so it really is for everyone.

Who are we?

We are Happy Hearts First Aid Training, and we are all about empowering people through our friendly and relaxed sessions. We are mums, so we understand what you are going through. We are health professionals, with the facilitator of this session having over a decade of experience as a Registered Nurse and teacher. We know how to provide engaging content that is relevant and evidence-based.

What will we cover?

– Baby & Child CPR
– Use of defibrillators
– Recovery positions
– Management of choking
– Febrile seizures
– Burns
– Head injuries
– Meningitis and sepsis awareness

Babies in arms are welcome.

Parking: Plenty available alongside the building, or on the nearby streets.

There will be coffee and cake available for purchase from 7-7.30pm before the session begins.

We are still being Covid careful:

You will be invited to perform chest compressions on our baby manikins, and each group will have their own manikin. Our trainer will stay a safe distance away and of course everything is cleaned thoroughly before and after sessions.

As a former Registered Nurse, infection control has always been a priority to Sammy. You are in safe (and clean) hands.
