What is a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification?
A Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification is a nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated certificate that meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Depending on your role, you may need either:
Emergency Paediatric First Aid (6 hours)
This Level 3 First Aid course designed for those who have an interest in child and baby Basic Life Support, or require it for their workplace.
Full Paediatric First Aid (12 hours)
A blended course combining six hours of online learning with six hours of practical classroom training. This qualification is commonly required for nursery staff, childminders and those with responsibility for children.

How long is a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid certificate valid?
Certificates are valid for three years.
Is the qualification Ofqual regulated?
Yes. Our Level 3 qualifications are fully regulated and meet current EYFS requirements.
Do I need to complete online learning?
For the full 12-hour course, yes. Six hours are completed online before attending six hours of practical classroom training.
Can I attend if I’m not currently working in childcare?
Absolutely. Many of our learners are preparing for a new role or simply want to gain a recognised qualification before applying for childcare jobs.
