This live masterclass teaches you everything you need to know about choking in a friendly and informative way:

How to recognise choking

What to do if your baby or child starts to choke

Anatomy and physiology of choking

Talk through how to perform CPR (bloody scary stuff, but also a really important tool to have in your toolkit)

Arm you with some tips to help keep your home safe

Answer common questions and concerns

By the end of the session, you will have some great information for yourself, and even to teach those around you how to identify and manage a choking baby or child. Of course there will be plenty of time to answer any questions you might have. You will be ready to fully embrace your baby’s weaning journey without the fear or the worry. Um… YES PLEASE!

What this masterclass is NOT

This is a masterclass on choking. We will not be covering readiness to wean, recipes to try or the differences between baby led weaning and a traditional approach. There are plenty of amazing resources available to help you with this! We are talking choking and how to deal with it.

Course work

You will receive a masterclass pack in the post prior to the session, containing a workbook to fill in as we work through the masterclass. Please make sure you include your home address in the “billing” section on the booking form so I can send this across to you.

About Sammy

Sammy has weaned three children herself, and has been a first aid trainer for the past six years with her one-woman business, Happy Hearts First Aid.

With a background in nursing and nursing education, she has the skills and the expertise to deliver content in an engaging and memorable way. And she absolutely loves teaching this stuff. She has been teaching parents, grandparents, nurses, doctors and students for over a decade and (thanks to the pandemic!) has a great handle on the skills needed to teach content via Zoom.
